Hi and welcome! I’m Alexandra, and I’m so excited (and slightly nervous) to be sharing my very first post here on The Everyday Dish, a little corner of the internet where cosy, balanced, and seasonal food comes to life with just a touch of elegance.

I created this blog with one simple goal in mind: to inspire you with meals that feel like a treat, without being complicated or fussy. Whether you’re cooking for one, feeding your family, or meal-prepping for a busy week ahead, I want The Everyday Dish to be a space that helps you feel excited (and maybe a little more confident) about getting into the kitchen.

A Bit About Me

I grew up in the north of Transylvania, surrounded by the mountains and traditions of Romanian culture, where food has always been more than just fuel. It’s how we show love, how we celebrate, and how we come together. Some of my earliest memories are in the kitchen with my mum, learning to cook the meals that brought comfort to our table. That experience and those flavours never left me.

Now I live in London, and I still find myself reaching for those same comforting, familiar flavours, just with a modern twist. I love experimenting with recipes, adding little unexpected elements, and finding ways to make food feel a bit more special, even on a weekday.
